Boudreaux's Jewelers
  • Boudreaux’s Jewelers was founded by Gilmore Boudreaux Sr., a local craftsman and jeweler. Its small studio operated out of the Pere Marquette building, providing service and repairs for stores throughout the Gulf South region.

  • Boudreaux’s began its religious jewelry manufacturing and plating and earned the distinction of being authorized by the Chancery, Archdiocese of New Orleans to create their exclusive designs.

  • With its success in both religious and wholesale jewelry, Boudreaux’s opened a retail storefront in the 100 block of Baronne Street. Don, Louis and Gilmore Boudreaux Jr. all joined in the family business.

  • Boudreaux’s now owned the entire building, operating retail on the 1st floor, repairs on floors 2 & 3, while Gilmore Sr. and his wife Jeanette lived on floors 4 &5.

  • Brian Boudreaux joins the family business after studying gemology at the Gemological Institute of America.

  • The business moved from its Downtown location to its current location in Old Metairie.

  • Both Christy (in 1989) and Tommy (1994) Boudreaux join the family business after studying at the Gemological Institute of America.

  • After determining the Northshore was in need of a high-end jeweler, Boudreaux’s expanded to Mandeville. Its building was purchased from Hibernia Bank and was converted to a showroom and studio.

  • Donny Boudreaux becomes the next to enter the family business, after operating a successful landscape architect company in the New Orleans area.

  • Hurricane Katrina caused the business to expand to Baton Rouge, becoming the third storefront in Louisiana. Donny relocated to manage the store’s operations.

  • Brandon, a fourth-generation Boudreaux, joins the business after graduating from both Tulane and the Gemological Institute of America.  He takes the title of lead designer shortly after, collaborating with Boudreaux’s craftsmen to relaunch the iconic Boudreaux’s Signature collection.

  • Robert completes his studies at LSU and the Gemological Institute of America and joins the business in October 2018
